Board adjustments for the week of 7/19/21
Clovis 21- cut 4 new total 46
Clovis 51- no change
Amarillo 51- add 6 new total 116
Clovis 22- cut 4
Clovis 52- no change
Amarillo 52- add 6 ,— 2 Ama, 4 Clovis
OPS Testing will continue HEAVILY is what we were told in the local chairman’s meeting last week, there drive is to make sure we are working per there rules and safely while we are in the no discipline period, the hit teams will continue to be coming around so just be prepared!!
The business projections we were given continued to show staying heavy into 2022, the board cuts we have seen in the recent weeks are still effects from a 3 day holiday weekend along with 2 mainline derailments, 1 in California and 1 east of KC.
I did get them to pad the extra boards by a few to try and help keep from furloughing employees that have recently come back to work, and that was an all day battle Friday, they have made it clear the carrier needs TY&E employees in other locations but you have to be willing to chase work I know it’s not preferred trust me we have all been there but this is the nature of the beast for this week.
Attendance****
This is a unbeatable topic at investigation right now, so if at all possible AVOID be popped for attendance, they are giving 0 leniency for attendance, If you have to layoff you have to but if it is a problem we can fix before it gets to an investigation be transparent with us so we can get ahead of it.
Supposedly they have upped the allocations for vacation for next month or so but I’ll believe it when I see it!!
